Please understand that a child does not need to have ALL of the following characteristics to have a sensory system that is unorganized. They may have only a couple of listed items and still benefit from Sensory Integration Therapy:

• Picky eater
• Overstuffs mouth when eating / messy eater
• Drooling
• Mouths / licks non-food objects
• Over / Under active
• Aggressive with others
• Overstimulated in loud or busy environments
• Always “on the go”
• Sensitive to sounds
• Enjoys jumping and climbing (to an extreme)
• Has no fears
• Clumsy
• Is sensitive to touch
• Does not like particular textures and/or clothing
• Sensitive to tags in clothing
• Sensitive to lights
• Does not like hands to be messy
• Does not like haircuts
• Does not like trimming of nails
