What is Aquatic Physical Therapy?
Aquatic physical therapy is physical therapy in the pool instead of in the clinic. It consists of working on the same goals the child has in a clinic environment but in the water! The water assists with movement by eliminating gravity and unweighting the joints to allow more freedom of movement.
Who Will Benefit From Aquatic Physical Therapy?
Most children can benefit from aquatic physical therapy. The water assists with their body weight so they can work on skills they are unable to do on land. The diagnoses most commonly seen range from Autism Spectrum Disorders to Cerebral Palsy to Coordination Disorders to generalized weakness.

Testimonials
"Sensory Solutions has been an incredible blessing to my son. When he started back in February he was eating a handful of crunchy foods due to sensory issues & was considered a problem feeder. He was behind in language & we had a difficult time understanding him. All of this left him miserable. With the help of OT/feeding therapy, speech therapy & eventually behavioral therapy, Brooks is eating, talking up a storm, & is HAPPY! We are also able to have the ADOS test done and receive his ASD diagnosis at Sensory Solutions. This has been invaluable to us & helps us to understand our Brooks better & opens up doors for him in getting the help he will need in preschool & beyond. I cannot thank Lindsey, Melinda, Becky, Emma & the rest of the staff enough for all they have done for my son & in turn our entire family."
